Additional Cute Overload Page-A-Day Calendar 2009 (Color Page-A-Day(r) Calendars) Information

"Omigosh—so cute!" (The Boston Globe). Introducing a brand-new calendar based on the phenomenally popular, award-winning blog—with the singular mission of scouring the Web for "only the finest in cute imagery"—anointed "#1 MOOD LIFTER" in Time magazine's "50 Coolest Websites" issue. Cute Overload features day after day of sheer animal adorability: wiggly-nosed bunny rabbits, palm-size puppies, kittens mimicking human traits, fuzzy chicks, koalas, baby pandas, the occasional hedgehog, and The Rules of Cuteness, including #5: Fisheye lens + baby animal is always cute and #10: If you haven't grown into your feet yet, it's cute. Accompanied by a pitch-perfect, smart caption, every picture is guaranteed to elicit an "awww." Truly, "The Gold Standard of Cute" (Wonkette).

What Customers Say About Cute Overload Page-A-Day Calendar 2009 (Color Page-A-Day(r) Calendars):

I am absolutely loving this calendar. It just makes me feel good, and we all need that it the world of today. It's a little stress reliever and motivational item and I am enjoying it.

I'm sorry to have to say this, because I love Cute Overload as a website, I really do. I too have to agree with one of the previous comments about the captions, they aren't funny and they detract from the images which, as I've mentioned, aren't doing themselves any favours to begin with.I can only assume that the person who chooses the images on the site is not the same person who chose the images for the calendar. But this calendar is just rubbish.Only 1 in 10 of the images is actually cute. There are too many evil-looking dogs and the dog to hamster ratio is appaulingly biased (in favour of pugs). Or that the best images on the site were not given permission to be used.Wacky cross-eyed or evil-looking dogs ARE NOT CUTE. Especially when they're chewing on some guy's ear lobe.Save your money and support the site instead of this embarrassment.

The calendar may be a little better if it cut down on the personification just a little (might). The pictures are cute. On quite a few days, I have not even been able to understand what the writer was trying to convey. However, I often find myself feeling shame for the people that write the captions. They just really aren't funny and misspelling words to convey accents only adds absurdity to the calendar's attempts at humor. Do these writers still have jobs. I can't wait until December 31.

Honestly most of these pictures aren't just NOT cute, they're out of focus, run-of-the-mill, and downright ugly. Surely it couldn't be that difficult to procure 365 pictures of cute baby animals. Why am I looking at pictures of old dogs and insects every day.

Though, based on the other reviews, apparently there are people in this world that like this type of thing. Let me make this clear, we both love cute animals. It seems like these reviewers are either close friends of the lady who makes Cute Overload calendars or think that every single animal put on this Earth is cute. Not even a little cute or funny. My wife, who loves cuteness, also hates these little captions. I'd say that about one quarter of the animals used are truly cute. However, the amount of cute animals within the pages of the calendar are very limited.

The fuzzy bunny and baby penguin on the front of the box - absolutely cute. Not so much in the calendar. I got this calendar as a stocking stuffer for my wife for Christmas, because she loves cute animals. This is just stupid. It's totally NOT cute or funny. It's annoying, actually. So if you are particular about the types of animals you find cute and hate it when people make animals "say" things such as kitteh, ehn, and mcnommersons (WTF)., then go ahead and pass this calendar on by. They are tolerable.

My wife is 29 and I'm 31 (for demographics). However, it's not for us. At any rate, I would have given this product 3, maybe even 4 stars, had it just had a problem with not including enough cute animals. The main reason for the 2 stars is the attempt at humor or cuteness through "animal" talk. The 'rules of cuteness' inserts are a little better. It won't be worth your $13.
